The Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician course is a 4-day training course aimed at giving trainees the overview of the fundamental domains of Reliability and Maintenance, as defined by the Society of Maintenance and Reliability Professionals, for Technicians
Course attendees will gain knowledge and proficiency in four specific areas of Maintenance and Reliability practices to help them prepare for further work advancement and potential skills certification by the Society of Maintenance Professionals (SMRP) Board.
- Fundamental Maintenance Practices – How maintenance activities can relate to the safe and effective performance of an organization.
- Preventive and Predictive Maintenance – Best practices in PM, condition monitoring, filtering, adjustments, and lubrication. Emphasis on all matters of condition-based monitoring.
- Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis – Best practices for performing troubleshooting activities related to breakdowns and continuing equipment issues, Root Cause Methodologies and processes.
- Corrective Maintenance – Best practices for performing corrective maintenance activities to prevent rework and reoccurrence. Emphasis on precision maintenance practices.
For experienced Technicians, this provides an overview of the whole spectrum of Manufacturing Reliability, and how the world of the Technician ties to Management and Leadership principles required for improving Manufacturing Reliability.
Separately from the course, an examination for the SMRP certification of Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) Can be organized right after the conclusion of the course.
